25 The Lucketts' CSA program includes three different size and price options: the Senior Share (for those over age 55 or one to two people in a household), the Average Share (for small families), and the Abundant Share (for larger families and includes more variety). The boxes are deliv- ered during four seasons that are 12 weeks each throughout the year. The Lucketts' CSA box also comes with a newsletter about what's happening on the farm, plus storage tips and a few recipes that correspond to what's in the box each week. "We try to help our members get the most out of their weekly boxes. Providing the recipes is a convenient way to help them get inspired to do new and different things with their share each season," said Kacie. After our interview, Kacie shared with me a sample box that she would normally deliver. In that week's box, there were broccoli, cabbage, carrots, sweet potatoes and raw honey. Below is a recipe for broccoli slaw we made using some of the fresh broccoli. Broccoli Slaw 3 tablespoons mayonnaise 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 1 1/2 teaspoons grated red onion 1 1/4 teaspoons coarse-grained Dijon mustard 1 1/4 cups shredded peeled broccoli stems 3/4 cup shredded peeled carrots 1 tablespoon sugar Combine mayonnaise, fresh lemon juice, onion and mustard in medi- um bowl; whisk to blend. Add broccoli and carrots; toss to coat. Season slaw to taste with salt and pepper. Refrigerate to blend flavors, about 20 minutes.
