41 Girl Scouts Women of Distinction Luncheon Girl Scout alumna, volunteers, and friends of Girl Scouting are invited to attend Girl Scout Louisiana East's 2017 Women of Distinction Luncheon on Monday, May 8, at the Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel. A champagne recep- tion will begin at 11 a.m. with lunch from 12 to 1 p.m. Tickets for the awards luncheon are $75 per person or $100 each when including the champagne recep- tion preceding lunch. Reserved tables of 8 are $1,000. All pro- ceeds are going to support the Girl Scout Leadership Experience in Southeast Louisiana; tickets may be purchased online at www.gsle. org. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. The Girl Scouts Louisiana East council began its Women of Distinction recognition program in 2012 during the Girl Scout Centennial; it has recognized 31 amazing women thus far as Women of Distinction. While not all recipients were Girl Scouts while growing up, they are com- munity and civic leaders who have dedicated themselves to making their community a better place, demonstrating Girl Scout values in all they do. Warriors, Wranglers, & Rhinestones St. Michael High School is hosting their auction on March 25, 2017; the money raised at the event is for scholarship programs at the school. The event will be from 7:00-11:00 p.m. at the high school. Tickets for this event are $50 per person and there will be a live band: The Rewind Band.
